I got no means of ventilation from my closet in my apartment, so i want to know which will be cooler: 1000w of CFLs or a 600w HPS/MH?

I know the HPS will be more effiecient but I just need to know which one produces less heat with only fans blowin and no ventilaton out of the closet.

Thanks.:blsmoke:

I will be honest I don't know the answer to your question but I hope this may help a little.

I'm using 350 watts of CFLs, 1 6 inch desk fan for circulation, no new air in, no old air out, its not a sealed room so there is some but nothing designated for that. Its a 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 ft standing shower, it has an open top and a hole at the bottom about 3 inches x 10 inches, just for a little info for what I'm using in comparison, this is my first grow so there is lots of room for improvement.

The temp in the shower at the level of my lights stays at about 78* F, now the temp 4 feet lower is at 72*-75* F.

7 lights total, 1-125 watt full spectrum, 2-65 watt 2700k, and 4-26 watt 6500k.

With a fan blowing air around the area to be grown or just directly on the lights they shouldn't get very hot, if you put the fan blowing on the lights put it under the lights blowing upwards.

Please if anyone thinks I'm wrong or something I can do better please let me know.

Hope this helps at least some, sorry I'm not more experienced, just wanted to give some input.
