Current setup is a 4x4x7 tent with a 1000w HPS w/ 8" AC hood and fan. In the spring/summer, it's usually 68-70 in the room, and was getting 77-79 in the tent, with the same exact setup. Now that it's winter, the room keeps a little cooler around 65-67, so I THOUGHT the tent would probably run cooler, but my temps in the tent are 80-82. Both were taken from 2 1/2 feet under the lamp. There's absolutely nothing that's different except the room temperature was a little hotter in the summer. It just doesn't make any sense. I'd really like to keep it under 80 if at possible, and the 8" fan I have is already overkill for the size of the tent...any advice on something I might be overlooking would be appreciated!
