Heat problem with rubbermaid

I have been having heat problems with my rubbermaid grow box. It has been getting above 80, while just sitting there. This is with no plants in, just pots. The outside temp is usually mid 70s or so. The box is just in my room. I just harvested the fans out of computer parts. Maybe my fans are just to slow. I also have a standing fan sitting by it blowing air in the direction of the intake.

I will attach pics of my setup any advice would be very helpful. The green thing is the box is kind of ducting to direct the intake down.

its hard to tell by the pics. is that alum. foil in there? if so your better off with mylay or white paint.
is the intake hole in the top of the bin on the other side of the exhaust? if so you will get better airflow and cooling by having the intake near the bottom and the exhaust near the top. the passive intake hole should be slightly larger than the exhaust hole size.

dont forget to light proof everything. i see light coming out. if light is getting out then light will get in during the lights off time.

by re reading it looks like you dont have an exhaust just an intake fan. if so then its better to suck air out of the box than to blow it in. so you have an exhaust fan sucking out of the box and a passive intake at the bottom allowing fresh air in.

is that foil? if so that is probs your problem(reflects heat back in) just a thought. I had the same problem and it helped with me.
Good luck!

its foil and foil tape. So should I just strip it all down and paint it white? I have two fans in the top that are intake and exhaust. I have no intake at the bottom. So I think I will just make both the fans at top exhaust and then make another hole on the bottom for intake. Thanks for the help, I knew I was missing something.

if your going to paint it white inside, you will need to get some primer, from like homedepot, that is good for plastic. then you will be able to paint it flat white. the paint doesnt stick very well to just the plastic. here is some stuff ive seen. plastic primer.
