Heat Problems - Better Vent Or New Lights?

Trying to setup my grow space and have a 250W MH/HPS but I can't control the heat hitting ~93F. Ambient room temp is ~77, and I don't have room for a separate air conditioner. Realistically can I vent the heat down to a manageable level or should I consider a cooler light solution possibly induction or led, thoughts?

how are you venting? What is the size of your space?
You need to pull the heat out the top with a ambient intake near the bottom as a minimum.
make sure the ballast is outside the growspace.
You should be able to vent that light without a/c.

With enough airflow through your lamp & on your plants, the temperature in the room should be very nearly the same as at the plants. You at least need more air blowing through the lamp as Kevin mentioned.

Thanks, I prefer to use the HPS, the space is roughly 2'x5' by ~8' high (70-80 ft^3), roughly how much CFM do I need to be moving? I can pull it through a 6" duct?

your cubic feet is 80 you want to exhaust that twice a minute so a 4" 165 cfm would be excellent for you.
If you can get yourself a carbon scrubber also to hook up to the fan, will neutralize odors when you get to flowering stage.

First of all I will let you know right up front I am a lighting company. However we just went to the growing show in Long Beach with a product we found from an inventor that has been working on heat problems for a long time. Even if you get your fixture to exhaust the heat from inside the fixture you will still have the problem with radiant heat. That is the heat that is projected downward from the fixture. Fans do not remove this heat, it is like a heat lamp baking your plant. The company PlantLightMFG has produced a simple heat stop product. Please visit this youtube video when you have a moment. Thanks for letting me post. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYIZ6hn0SR4
