it has been 95 or thereabouts for several days and hotter in the greenhouse. i have a fan and a screen door but it is just hot. leaves on my afghan kush are drying up and dying from the bottom up. i thought this strain would be good for here as i am in the mts. and it is cool at night, cold in the fall. i thought plant needed nitrogen as the leaves were yellowing and added some fish emulsion yesterday so that could be it. the pots get very hot as well. why are pots black??? so can someone read the leaves? what can i do to save them (i have three sick). j

i recommend u get fabric bag pots. They will really stay cooler and allow airflow through the soil. The plant can handle these temps but the roots struggle when they r baked as they can be in black pots.

i'm seriously considering putting then into the ground. so you think this is from heat? i could install an evaporative cooler. it is only hot like this for a couple weeks a year. tonight it was 80 at 9:00. 65 would be normal. j

Damn i've never seen leaves burnt like that lol, do you have fans blowing on them to try to alleviate some of the heat?

i installed an evaporative cooler today. it adds moisture to the air and keeps the temp down to 82 when it is 96 and sunny out. now i can actually work out there. thanks for all the great ideas...
