sorry i had a thread about heat issues but cannot find it. with my setup its about 82.1 degrees with 2 64w cfls on. now ive got 4 42w, and 2 26w cfls that still need to be turned on later on. when the two 26s, and the 2 64s on it lvs out at about 83.9-84F. my first issue was ventilation was set up wrong. so i changed it. i have two 70mm fans at the bottom for intake and one 7" fan up top for exaust. compared to what i had the bigger fan kicks out some air. u out ur hand infront of the duxting and u can realy feel some air coming out. my question is how do i fix this shit? do i put one of the intake fans near the middle blowing directly on the lights? im trying to get my hands on another comp fan to help but no luck. somebody had to of had this issue. i see threads of heat problem but real awnser from people that has the same setup but no heat issues. any help will realy help. thanks.

A 7" exhaust fan? Are you sure the fan is acting as an exhaust? It sounds like you just have a small 7" circulating fan blowing out of an opening. If that's the case, you need to have it PULLING air out of that box by creating a seal around the fan. Install the fan into the side of the box (or whatever area it is you're cooling). Also, 2 70mm fans pulling air inside the box might be out-lapping the bigger exhaust fan. You don't even need intake fans if you have a strong enough exhaust fan to create a draft. I have over 300 watts of CFL in a small 4'x2'x5' box and a single exhaust fan with a small circulating fan inside the box. My temps? The highest it gets in there is 80 degrees F, but 75% of the time it's around 73-76 degrees, dropping to around 68 at night.

If I am viewing your setup incorrectly, I apologize. I can tell you, however, that the problem is your air flow. Do a bit of reading around and make sure your airflow is similar to other setups like yours.

well u kind of confused me, if a fan is facing through an opening out of the box and ducting is hooked up to it isnt that an exaust? here a few pics. let me know if somethings wrong. i moved the small fans inside the cab and ducting attached to the back of them behing the cabnet. the big fan is caulked in on the other side. so its sealed. and theres ducting running from the back . but it leads to the outside air. so im kinda relying on hot air rising, and cool air being pulled in from the bottom.

so do u mean have it outside of the cab connected to the back shooting air out. or like it is, inside the cab blowing air out?

alright, from what ive larned my ambient temp is too high. but I have no where to pull the exhaust ducting through, and im not sure bit I also red that your exaust needs to be smaller then the intake(http://www.greenpassion.org/f45/what...rea-size-3704/)

so im not sure what to do. i still cant turn all the lights on. and but even without all on it gets about 77-78 on a nice day in the winter. and thats with 2 windows open.
