My question is can you heatstress an auto enough to hermi and woukd those seeds be hermi too?

rather than heat stress, go and buy some colloidal silver and paint it onto a particular stem for a week or 2 until you see the nanners pop out. cut them when they fill with pollen then you will get fem seeds from what ever plant you pollenate as the pollen came from a female. unless you back cross it with the same strain though u may get unstable pheno's
