Heavy Colas

I've got about 10 days left, maybe longer. My plant has surpassed all expectations, but the colas are getting so big now they are struggling to support themselves. I've entwined some together where I can, but there are too many!

First world problems I know, too much weed. I'm mainly wondering that if some of them lay horizontal, on the leaf and bud canopy, they will be happy for what little time we have left?

A net type thing seems like a lot of hassle and banging them around for such a short amount of time left.

I'll get a pic tomorrow, these were from a few days ago so you can see the grow. The buds have got fatter now, noticeably, so are more droopy and heavy. 20140805_002937.jpg 20140803_193708.jpg 20140803_193812.jpg 20140803_193820.jpg

Do not, I repeat, do not smoke those buds. They will kill you! Those buds that are just ever so slightly leaning a little bit, should be processed seperately along with all the other bud, and then shipped to my address. I'll pm you my addy. I'll take care of the disposal;-) please wait untill they are ripe though k. And please do a good job drying them. Thx.

Jacky White I'm told, was two clones from a mate. Looks more because they were grown sideways, but its only two plants.

So I'm guessing floppy buds is nothing to worry about then?

If you feel you've done all of the supporting you can, not much more you can do rite? They'll be fine;-)
Next grow, you could come up with a little better of a trellis setup before hand. Have you seen that trellis netting they make?
I usually grow plants a little smaller than those, and use stakes and twist-tie. Its all about whatever's clever.
Live and learn

Hey james nice grow and nice problem to have. Don't know where you are but I bought these at the dollar store, 3x for $2. i just stick them down the edge/side of the pot, they give you something to guide, LST and tie the colas to, cheap solution and effective, you could even rig them up now, $4 and you're set, pic of them below and pic in action...

Cheers guys, you are right, you live and learn. I can see the benefit of these things now and next time I'll have them ready.

SCROG isn't just for helping spread the branches is it, it helps support the colas too!

I was expecting lots of small colas because of the plant being grown sideways, but it turned out the plant just makes lots of big ones!

I will never grow vertical again I don't think.
