Hi RIU,

Im growing 9 plants from some bagseed and they were slow to start off but that was because I had them in 12oz. cups and under 96w T5.

I moved to larger mum pots (1gal.) and a 400w and they took off real good for about a week.

Now they are starting to look bad. Some yellowing, papery feel, and new growth looks deformed and skinny.

I think it may be from over fertilizer and I also had them like 10 inches from my 4000w. I dont have a pH meter so it could be that but anyway here are the pics any help would be great.

By the way the plants are 6 weeks old and only like 10 inches tall.

PICS:
1-9/22 1 week old
2-10/10
3-10/10
4-10/10
5-10/24 put in bigger pots and 400w
6-10/24
7-10/24
8 thru 13 11/03 taken last night notice the purple stem in the last pic.

+REP for any helpful advice and thanks in advance

Yes I have fed with nutes I use GH Flora series I fed when I transplanted on 10/24 and again like a week later 10/30 and I dont have anything to check pH with. I just ordered a pH pen online yesterday.

And I dont know the brand of the soil but I got it from a local garden supply and its for house plants, not miracle grow.

id say the purple on the stem is a potassium problem. and it looks like you might be using miricle grow soil if thats the case i had problems with my ph in it i switched every thing to an organic soil that didnt have time relased nutes. how far are you lights from the plants?

yes i think it might be nute burn. it kinda looks like an mg deficiency but i would try nute burn first. try flushing them then only fertilize once a month till they get a foot tall then you can fertilize every 14 days

Maybe a trip to the local wally world or pool supply store. Someone local gots to have PH test strips. Not the most accurate, but they'll get you by.

Flush the soil with 3x the amount of water, as there is soil in the container. So if it is one gallon soil, use three gallons to flush. PH balance the water.

When the plants are ready for their next watering, feed at 1/4 dose or so and slowly work back up. Easier to just add little by little. Can always increase, can't always decrease.

The light was about 10 inches from the tops but I moved it. Its now like 20 inches off the top.

When all else fails, do the "hand test".

Place your hand under the light at the same heigh your canopy is (10"). See if it burns your hand. If it too hot for you, it's too got for cannabis. :leaf:

your ph should be at 5.8 to 6. lowes has differant testing kits. the purple stem isnt a potassium problem sorry i miss spoke it is a potassium defficancey. i had the same problem with my plants and just uped the potassium and the stem went back to a normal color.

its really 6.3 to 6.8

Yup, it could be anything really. When you get your ph pen, always ph your water to about 6.2. Personally I like to use white vinegar as opposed to acid.
