helicopters are hanging some sort of rope?

Recently there has been a lot of air activity near my home, which being a closet grower gets me slightly paranoid. I did a little research and found that local authorities where borrowing helicopters from the national guard, and had found over 5 million dollars of marijuana in my small county in the past 2 months. These helicopters fly over my field several times a day. This morning i noticed a helicopter in a nearby field, the sound is deafening by the way, and hanging from the helicopter looked like a long white rope. It was somewhat far away but something was definately being hung from the aircraft. I was wondering if anyone else had any experience, or could possibly explain what these helicopters are doing. I am pretty sure these helicopters are equipped with infared/flir, and was curious what this white rope could be. Also, my glow-from-the-closet is illuminated by a small 250w hps in a grow tent. I dont think that they are able to see this, but don't want to be over confident. Any suggestions?

I've seen helicopters used to lift bulky objects like light poles or drilling pipe into place where cranes are impractical. The price of running a 'copter for even one flight is high enough that casual/random surveillance is very unlikely imo. cn

Make sure its insulated, and no worries. Flir and infrared can't see through walls, btw. It sounds like their going after field grows to be honest. They sure wouldn't be doing that for you grow, if that 250w is the whole of your op.

Its doubtfull a 250 watter is gonna send up red flags but ya never know,only you are qualified to judge the threat level from whats going on in your area.

Dont think for 1 second that while they have use of the technology the cops wont fly over residential areas lookng for heat sigs,they also have hand held units that they can hold out the window of a car,i owned a hand held unit ever since the 1st models that ran on argon gas were available,nowdays they are the size of a camera.

If you dont feel safe you know what to do.

if they claimed 5 million it was probably like 500k..huge exaggerations to make their retarded waste of money and resources seem worthwhile. i would not worry about your indoor grow man.

my dehumidifier runs more power than a 250w.....

and it doesn't do a very good job either
