when people say flushing with pure water does that mean tap water or do still have to worry about ph level in that water ... any help would be great .....

If you can throw down a couple dollars purchase some pure spring water. You will avoid any metals, chlorine or ph problems in the tap water.

You have to worry about more than just PH of your tap water. Depends on what and where your water comes from but it could be hard, soft, salt, sulpher, or a bunch of other things. My tap water has a PH of 7.8 and it has a PPM reading of 500!!! I would always flush with distilled water or even better do a reverse osmosis system.
