Now I feel like sharing with the world...he he...the following is detaled account of me setting ip a veg room...ther are opinions on some things I would like to hear...since its an intermediate room, plants from 2 to 6 wks old, shoild I mix MH with HPS bulbs instead of just MH, and run lights at16 or 15 hours instead of 18...wouldnt the switch to flowering be alot smoother? Let me know, pix coming tonight...

i love the idea of mixing both mh's and hps bulbs in a grow.. i done a lot of reading on the subject and most everyone concludes that the mixed spectrum provided by both types of bulbs is great for your plants..
as far as lowering the amount of hours of light, i don't really agree with this theroy.. plants need light to photosynthesis with and by cutting out hours of light, your reducing the amount of time that the plant can work and photosynthesis.. if you'd like to spark flowering a lil quicker, instead of cutting hours of light in the veg, how about just leave them in the dark for say 36 hours or so before you switch to the 12 / 12.. i've heard of people having good results doing this..
