Hello Everyone. Need Help (Newbie)

Hi everyone :)
I just started growing, and im a newbie :) Im Using pyramid tutankhamon seed.
Im doing it in my room.
Im trying for first time, and i only have 1 seed, i used glass technique and moved it to POT
Heres the first photo :) The growth was amazing :) We had rain so i used rain water :)

After couple days it growth like this:

Im watering it every 3-4 days, and using shitty light cause i dont have money to buy some good one, but it grows nicely.
The question is, it grows but not the leaves, it goes upper and thats it. is that normal ? or i put the light too far?
Any advice would be great...

it's using it's energy to make roots, that's the growth you don't see at first, then it will grow above ground. get that light as close as you can to it and good luck. newbie rep for you M :eyesmoke:

EDIT: go to home dePOT and buy the largest actual watt cfl you can afford, 6500k, look on the box, it will tell you there...

your plant is stretching because it needs more light, As stated get that light closer And lookinto getting a daylight CFL bulb (6500K)
Walmart has them as well

I know you stated you don't have money but if you can manage to get some the bulbs are only $5-$12

i can no longer find them at my local walmart stores, i think they are on to us :eyesmoke:

If i move closer the light ill burn it no ? how close should i put the light ? Its good light also, i can feel heat with my hands when i put it near..
Edit: tomorrow ill buy the daylight cfl 6500k bulb, what watt should i buy ? thx

also, is every 3-4 days watering is ok ? i water the pot until the water goes down from the pot
and im using 24 hours light, will it be ok ? or should i use 16/8?

it's 18/6 not 16/8. buy the brightest light you can. floros are not expensive. i think your little seedling looks ok. if it is too warm it makes the seedling stretch. so get something to gauge the temps. i think your off to a good start. don't feed any time soon.

no get a fan blowing under the light if you don't have one already. you should have a fan anyway to help make the stem strong

take a look at your light and see if it says anything on it. what kind is it? color ? kelvin ?
put your hand under the light and hold it there see how hot it gets and according to that move
the pot closer to it. It has stretched already a bit but that's not a big deal. you have some more
space in your pot. I'd fill it up with some soil and cover the stem as much as possible

i would go 18/6 if i were you, i go 20/4 on my vegging, i like to give the lights a rest. get the highest actual wattage you can find :eyesmoke:

I didint get the light yet, i get home at 10pm only, but i did move closer the light and it was amazing , thank you
By the way im going to water it today :)

awesome, i would bury her a bit, as much soil as you can put in the top of the pot, cover that stem up and she will be stronger :eyesmoke:

Hi can anyone help I'm not good on computers, and growing it would seem. My lights were due to go off this morning and timer broke and they've been on 19hrs on a 12/12 cycle will they be ok if not what should I do cheers

i would put them back on the regular schedule Sug, stick to it and hopefully they weren't thrown off by those few hrs :eyesmoke:
