Hello. I am (J).

I started a project back in April.. Had to convince the Wife... Glad she was a Go. and.. to see if I could do it.. Reg seeds from some local hook up. I inspected them, while doing countless research on how to identify FEM to MALE.. to make a Long story short... I Germinated 6 potential seeds. grew them under T5's for 50 days and flipped the lights 12/12 to a 2800 lumen; from an 18/6 6500k lumen cycle and went to a bloom form mixture of nutes as well.

flowered for about 54 weeks and found bugs, running up and down the stalk and in and out of the res. The lower nodes were drooping and I had a fan rolling constantly.. no success and I blame it on the maintenance on the DWC res tank cleanliness. Soooo... I have decided to order some auto-flower (Big Bang) and I am planning on a different approach. Soil this time around.

Ordered - Big Bang Auto Flower and I am looking to see of a good indoor soil composite that will not attract bugs. I hear from other friends that Bat Guano attracts them.. So "F" that. I am looking for organic and natural.. as possible.

My seeds arrived today in the mail. I am stoked to get started. Right now... I am smoking Red hair buds that I did harvest from the immediate pull, once I saw the Bugs... Actually. . for 3 oz Dry and cured..... Not bad in comparison from what I purchased that was originally a 1/4, known as Shwag.... converted to Hydro... But I think I will continue to have bad luck if I stay on the Hydro, DWC approach... My conclusion will be Bugs none stop.

I have seen Happy Frog, Organic and Roots Organic and Fox Farm growing medium. My question for Organic growers is. What do you prefer. also... I have heard folks mixing media's ???

If you're looking for an easy startup, id just use Fox Farms or some other well known brand ;) I use FFOF from start to finish, and run their nutrients as well. Very basic, easy to understand, and handles these plants very well.

I but a cheap potting soil with no added nutes beyond the compost in it. I mix roughly equal parts of it, plain perlite, plain vermiculite, and peat moss. Then I mix in about 1.5T of dolomite lime per gal of the mix. Works great for me, no bugs, no gnats.

For nutes, the love the simplicity of the dyna-gro line.
