leave the rootball unless your moving from soil to hydro then wash your roots off "gently" but I wouldn't suggest that..the more little string roots you break the longer she will be in shock, but will come back in 3-4 days..

I have tried reading other posts and it is very hard to find exactly what I am looking for so I thought it would be easier to do this
I wasn't sure if it would be easier for me to start over put her back on 24 hour light and then start again I just didn't want to lose that's all

I am new to RIU and growing myself. So check this out...when posting, click on the forum tab, and choose what forum suits what you want to talk about...general growing..plant probs..growing with HIDs, CFLs, LEDs...and so on, I'm sure that you will find everything you need and then some. And in the future always post your prob or question in detail so people can help and pics are always good, we love looking at pics. :hump:

wouldnt change the light cycle, especially if you are in flower, leave it 12/12 or something similar. What kind of lights are you using? If you are using CFL's make sure they are below 3000k rating, it is on the box. Pay attention to the actual watts, the equivalent wattage does not matter anymore, and the more lights, the better. just make sure you keep her cool :)
