I'm new to this, I've been locked down for a very long time and I don't know much about computers, so forgive me for any rookiness.

I've always been disappointed in the quality of regular commercial smoke, which 9 times out of 10 is the only thing available for me, but anytime something decent comes around, I can't afford the shit.

so, lately I've been really interesting the thought of growing my own weed.
Friend of mine just started with a plant that was handed to him, supposedly an "Orange Crush" plant. But after I did some research on this plant I'm starting to doubt that it is an actual Orange Crush, due to the lack of information on such of a plant, it's obvious that it is very rare to have one.
I,m telling you guys this because I have a opportunity to get some cuttings of this plant, and I dont want to waste the time if it turns out to be some shwagg. But I dont know how else to get some good stock to start from. any suggestions?

Welcome. I am not a pro by any means but I had few grows and fucked up enough to know a few things. First off, don't expect much the first time around. You will probably screw it up, I have. If the clones are free then go for it but bagseed is better to start off with. Even bagseed is a million times better when you grow it than it is when it gets stomped and packed and busted up in transport. Read as much as you can before you even start. There is a million posts that start: "I took seeds out of my bag and germinated them and put them in dirt from my back yard. They are now 2 inches tall. What should I use for lights?" Most of all, relax. These things are tougher than you think. If I can't kill them then there tough. Good luck and don't be afraid to ask questions but try to search the site for previous posts that asked the same thing. Later.
