this is my fourth grow first one since last year im using a simple dwc system in 3 gallon tubs with ionic nutes i have a 400w hps light and euro reflector which i have never used before(and based on other pictures believe i have set up wrong) that is blowing out temps stay around 80f humidity is kind of an issure im having alittle trouble keeping it above 40 any tips would be great thanks

also not exactly sure of the strains i got a couple free clones from a unreliable source and was told the one in the blue tub is kandy kush and the one in the black is true blue but who really knows

Depending on the size of your space, you can hang wet towels in the room to up the humidity. The plants look great. They are vibrant and healthy. I am not sure I would fret much over a little missing humidity.

thank you.... i did alittle rearranging and seem to have gotten the humidity to stay up around 50 today but the temp also went up to 82 but it doesnt seem to cause any stress on the plants...should i set up the reflector differently though? most of the pictures ive seen show one open end

You're humidity is fine at what it is. Trust me. I used to bother myself about humidity, i even hung up wet towels. Tried the bucket thing. Hell i even went out and got me a humidifer. I'm not going to make the claim that humidity in veg HURTS plants, that would be false. But still, do they need it to thrive? Not really. Cloning would be an area where you need the high RH much more.

When you get to flowering.. you'll wish you had NO humidity lol. Seriously , sometimes in Fall/Winter, my basement RH on the meter don't even show. It reads 0, which means its under 20 and the meter don't even show.

thanks...im about to take some cuttings tomorrow i have never done it personally but have taken care of them right after they were cut so i think i should be ok on that..im thinking of taking 6 and flowering the two plants but i had a question for some of you more experienced should just keep these two as mothers or is it ok to just keep taking clones from clones?

Clones from clones is fine forever. I know people that have done that and kept their strains active 10+ years with no negative results.

Well just FYR.. being able to take care of cuttings after it's been given to you (after its rooted) its a completely different ball game than the nightmare it is to get them to root lol. No offense.

However it's a nightmare for people when they start.. soon they'll figure out a regiment that works so don't fear it. I guess if you need a few tips just remember this:

- Need High RH in cloning.. so either use a dome or build yourself a cloner. read up on DIY cloner if you need.. the dome works fine though ... just a bit more maintaining on a dailly basis.
- Make sure you mist the cuttings about 1-2 times a day (not essential but helps with wilting, yellowing etc.)
- Use clonex/some kind of clone solution.. and of course when you take your cuttings.. make sure you do the cuts properly and then dip into a generous amount of Gel. IMO Gel for Cloners.. and powder for domes. Just my 2 cents on that.
- also IMO.. be sure to give the cuttings some dark. I know ther are people out there that swear by it that they go 24/7 .. and i just don't quite understand it. Maybe a plant already in veg.. but for my experience in all honesty i have never had any success at all if i give cuttings 24/7. They just don't make it.

Follow the above tips and you should be fine..

last important note.. if you do choose the dome... PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DON'T OVERWATER. lol. Some people go and water their RW cubes (terrible for cloning IMHO).. or rapid rooters (great!) like 2-3 timesa day. Thats killer.

Water once a day. If so, fill tray about 1/4 inch water.. and just sit the plugs/rooters in there so they slowly absorb/uptake the water. Basically.. the rooters should be light and dry at the time that you water it everdyay.. and afterwards it should be heavy and contain water..BUT NOT DRIPPING. That alone is suffice.

Until the rooters actually have roots breaking out.. then the transplanting begins!

thanks man i really appricate it... i have also taken care of clones that were not rooted i just didnt cut them myself...i did take the cuttings but i thinkg the first two maybe three i cut too short they are looking like death just kinda laying there... the other three im pretty sure are good to go....i havent used gel or powder i just cut them put them a little tub with the water level just under the stems with a air stone so the bubbles and mist are the only things that hit the stems it worked last time so hopefully it will work again... im only doing this for myslef so if i fail its no big deal just something to learn from
