Anything A51 apache or optic offers would be pushing covering a 3x3 for under 800

Diy driven hard would be the cheapest and best suited personally.... maybe supe could hook you up

does it have to be LED? 3x6 would lend itself to two lights rather than one

2 400w HPS would fit that space. $800 isn't enough for LED unless it's DIY IMO.
I rocked two 400w in the exact same size for a couple years and tore it up. I would love to try that old closet again but with the lights I have now(3070s).

I would order (10) CXB3070s or 3570s, (10) alpine 64s and (10) cheap chinese drivers and space them out. I'm running 1500ma with mine but with fewer per sq ft I would probably run them higher. Save the rest for beer money and enjoy your work.

Yepp!

It's very easy to build and if you go the Vero29 way, you can safe another 50 or 100 bucks with a little less efficiency!

Easily stick the cobs with themal adhesive to the heatsinks and there is no need to drill holes and no need for cob holders. With the molex connectors from the Vero series there is also no need to solder, so you can do the whole job easily with a few Wago connectors and a few hours of easy work!
