Help a newb ID this issue?

I'v been concentrating on a Scrog grow indoors and had a few extra clone's i thought i'd toss in garden and see what came of it.. nice bushy smaller plant till i notice the blackened area. It's located on the back shaded side of plant, looks ok elsewhere for now. We have had a pretty moist season here on the east coast.

Would someone be kind enough to ID my issue and suggest what i need to search for to rememdy this issue?

Thanks..
