my plant is 19 days old today and im going to FIM it what is the best thing i can use to do it with and do i just cut off some of that leafy bud growth in the middle or do i chop the whole bud thing off.


any help would be GREAT:joint::joint:

fim is when you just cut part of the leafy growth in the middle if you take the whole thing off then that would be topping. FIMing causes the lower branches to take off while topping does this too it also creates more top cola's.

You're supposed to cut off about 90% of the growing shoot and leave 10% intact.

well now i get to the point to clip it all or just some of it :confused: what do you guys think is best?
As has been stated:

[FONT=Times New Roman, Times, serif]If you push the leaves apart at the very top of the plant you should see a small bud (not flowering bud but an actually leaf bud). Use a pair of nail clippers to pinch off about 3/4 of the bud. This should result in more than two top colas being developed. In a single FIM clipping you can produce up to eight new top colas.


It's up to you which one you want to do. The BEST thing to do is to have a few plants of the same strain that you top, a few that you FIM and a few that you leave alone and compare yields.
