HELP.. Autoflower hyrdo grow.

Thanks alot for all the positive info, and yes im more determined then i usually am about anything else. Ive been spending money on MJ now for years and years and have finally decided to do it myself. And now that its actuially happening im nervous as hell and just wanna put as much effort as possible into it even if its with my little starter box.

So guys, why does this seem to be happening all so fast?! I just went to soak bottom of rockwool cubes and noticed that all of the plants have 1 root about a 1/4 inch of the bottom of the rockwool. Is it time to fill hydro tub with water and LOW grow nutes and crank on the water pump?!?! This is awesome but im so nervous

Go for IT! Make sure your airstone(s) are making plenty of bubbles and keep the nutes weak in the beginning.

Ok its done! The airstone is small but so is the tub. Its bubbling very nice in there. Thanks DANK. Ill keep posting when anything changes.

Just took a look at my babies and just within the past few hours I started nutes and water in my system the small round leaves seem to be wiltering down a tad bit? Is this maybe normal? Plants just getting used to new lifestyle? What are some things I need to keep an eye out for during the first few days while they become a custom to the water?

so finaly found my way to your new thread ...

looking nice .. nice littel setup .. but one thing I realy would try to "fix" is the light distance .. either screew the light out of the top of the box and make some kind of DIY hangers .. or relocate that pump (a littel hole and Im sure you can runn it to the other side of the box .. maybe ?)
so you can move em up .

you need to keep them CLFs 2-4 inches away from the plants top .. maybe not yet wile they still are babies .. but realy soon .. or you will get spindly tall plants stretching for light ..

(if it was me I would upgrade my lights/refletor .. take it out .. make some small changes .. add a few more CLFs (2700K warm white) and make some hangers I could adjust up and down)

Ok. I'm def gonna try and raise the plants up. I'll probably move the pump if I can find room. Im on my phone working at the moment but when I get home ill mess with it and post some more pics

Ok Slipon, here it is. I was able to raise the tub above the pump, rendering the bottom fan useless because its blocked, I do believe there is enough circulation with just the top fan.. I'm not very tool handy and am not quite sure ide be able to drill a hole for wires and add more cfls.. If you have an idea let me know. Also, as soon as I got home from work it started storming, cutting the electricity "MY LIGHTS" off three times for about a minute, will this sudden flash of light on/off effect the plants. And take a look at my pics, one of them is leaning waaaaayyy over for some reason. Can I take a tooth pick or something to stand it up straight? And overall, how are my first autos looking?

Hey man i just bought the same box, but the three foot one, i am interested to hear how your plants are doing. im about to start white widow auto's in it, any experiences or opinions you have on the box, and growing autos inside it will be very appreciated

I would suggest that you raise your res with books to get it closer to the light. I used this box once and from my experience it was far to small. Good luck!

yeah its a small box, after this grow its just gonna be a drying box, i tried raising it then i cant get the door to close and i dont want to force it, was thinking about only growing the 3 seedlings i have and making a new top on the res because having these in 1 inch cubes the whole grow sounds crazy to me, guess i got excited and bought the first box i saw... lol i guess its good to learn with. Thanks for the reply !

also temp seems to get very hot inside box, i just check it the high today was 89.5 this is way to high, any ideas to cool it down

Im a soil guy myself. But my buddy does hydro. He freezes a 2 liter or 20oz bottle of water and puts it in the box(change everyday) hope I could help!

Well, I could not get any of the beans to germ, so it was a wash. I am getting ready to try again, this time with Northern Lights Auto.

Do you think I should soak them first, then do the paper towel thing? Perhaps just try the paper towel germ thing without soaking?

What has been your experience with auto's in the past?

You can raise the rez by putting books under it so you don't get to much stretch. I had one of these boxes and my grow soon filled it to capacity, then it was a bit of a chore to do any kind of plant maintenance. I went ahead and got a bigger cab for my future grows, much better!
