Help! Bugs!

What kinds of bugs are these? Are they harmful to my plants?

The plants that we found these on are flowering plants, any ideas what I can do to get rid of them if they are harmful?

I tried to get the best pictures I could. They are very tiny, oblong, and yellowish looking.

We're thinking they might be thrips.

I definitely have them too &&& they suck.... HARD!

are they harmfull, and how do we fix this ?

the only solution ive heard of so far is the warm soap and water whiping of the leaves or the neam oil treatment so im just hoping one of them will work for me as well...
