HELP clones

well i tried my hand at cloning. took 1 clone. quickly cut the lower leaves and dipped in cloning gel. then i cut some of the fan leaves in half and then sprayed it with water. they are in soilless mix which is also watered. the temp in the room is at 70 to 72. they are under a 600w but like 4 feet away from it. no humidity dome. im pretty sure its dead or dying. no roots whatsoever. its been 2 days since the cut and its wilting completely over. this was just practice, but very soon its gonna be the real deal and i cant have them dying on me. no way. so what did i do wrong? any tips answers, whatever. i just need to get this right or if not start from seed all over. that would suck. PLEASE HELP.

Use a humidity dome, particularly if they are under a 600. This will stop them from wilting. Also, try to dull the efect of the lighting by placing them in a shaded spot. Clones do not need much light to root, and too much will slow the process down.

thanks mygirls. the dome is on the way as we speak. so the 42w is okay? what temps are ideal? the most important thing is humidity then? i just need to make sure cause i cant fuck this up.

keep temp between 70 and 78 is premo. remember slow groth with temps lower then 68 and higher than 88 degs.

Hit up the home d and buy a few 2 ft floro tubes. The cuttings wont like the 600. They love humidity so a dome is almost necessary. 75-85% humidity is ideal. Try reaching that without a dome. They need to be foliar fed.

only in a very very small area other then that nope.

hey thanks alot guys. wish me luck. hopefully the humidity dome will really help out. i think i might just put another order in to attitude just in case. again thanks alot.
