In the world of Police. this is not a crime drama. They do not Jam some1 with a few Oz especially if they Grew it. HERE IN CALI, Police are only looking to bust grow HOMES with 500+ Plants. they dont waste time on smaller grows. UNLESS its simply Violating Many LAWS such as a Grow Near a School, A Grow on PRIVATE PROPERTY.. but in your OWN HOME? No Cop will Risk busting less than Tens-Of-Thousands of Dollars Worth
They do and they hope by busting the cpl Ozs guy they can get to the pounds guy

You have a valid point, but this didnt occur in his home, this was shipped across state lines and I would bet money that the Dea is aware of it. Whether they do anything about it is a whole nother matter, I however would air on the side of caution and just assume worst case and plan from there

chances are, they have no clue what your number is if you went through prompts and stuff. i could be wrong, but when i call a company, they always have to get my number as confirmation. normally if you dialed a line direct they may have your number, but again, a big place like fed ex paying for caller id on that many phone lines? i doubt it...
I have extensive knowledge of contact center phone exchanges and voip equipment. Caller ID is standard on all phones in a contact center. Center's with IVR's pass the call data over to the agent. It is passed to their computer and to the hard phone on their desk.

FEDERAL, does not include crossing state lines

Possession of marijuana is punishable by up to one year in jail and a minimum fine of $1,000 for a first conviction. For a second conviction, the penalties increase to a 15-day mandatory minimum sentence with a maximum of two years in prison and a fine of up to $2,500. Subsequent convictions carry a 90-day mandatory minimum sentence and a maximum of up to three years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000.
Distribution of a small amount of marijuana, for no remuneration, is treated as possession. Manufacture or distribution of less than 50 kilograms of marijuana is punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. For 50 kilograms or more the penalty increases to a possible 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1,000,000. Manufacture or distribution of 100 kilograms or more carries a penalty of 5 - 40 years in prison and a fine of up to $2,000,000. For 1000 kilograms or more, the penalty increases to 10 years - life in prison and a fine of up to $4,000,000.
marijuana charges are by statute so they are different in each state, however when crossing state lines it becomes FEDERAL

Lessons to be learned in all this:

1. Dont ever use FEDEX
2. If you insist on using FEDEX, send it blank / false information, from a different town than you live or grow
3. Dont send pot through the mail
4. Stop being a total dumbass

ok seriously, these replies wont help him at all. first thing, your cell phone-is it on contract in your name? if not, who cares. if so, buy a new phone, dont activate it. hack off the esn to ping it to your current phone, switch your old esn to the new phone. go throw the phone in the woods. first they will get with the cell company who will track the active esn to the phone in the woods. now your physical address. phone company has your info on file. change that. all of it to an abondoned house or building. your credit is fucked by now so your on pre-paid phones for now on. you might have to pay cash and live in hotels for a while. states vary on how long warrents are active. usually after 3 yrs they stop looking. after 7 in my state, the warrent is no longer valid. or you can simply hire a lawyer and claim deniability. you didnt send any package, you didnt make any phone call. find some bum who looks about dead and give him a cell, open another line then cancel the previous line. the bum called about that package. most police i know really dont are who they arrest, as long as there paperwork says they got the person and they can go home at night. remember cops need little training. i know alot of previous drug addicts, growers and pimps who just werent that good at there illegal jobs and decided its easier to be the cop. the only difference between us? we can start at the penis, or scream who gives a fuck the loudest and see who means it.

everyone here is so helpful. I havent read "either wait around for them to bust you like nothings happened" or "run like hell and life will never be the same" though. Seems thats all he can really do unless he can infiltrate the law enforcement agencies and try and "remove" this call or evidence. But by now that would be useless, and prove guilt.
