Help, First Post, First Grow, First problem, Overwatering?

So this is my first grow, just trying the one plant for starters, its into its 4th week from being planted, its on 18/6, water it every three days, feed once a week, i noticed yesterday that the leaves started drooping but i thought that it may have just been a little over watered the night before, then i came to it today and it was even worse, originally the leaves were pointing right out but it just looks like there all falling down now. you can see on the pics, so could this be over watering or root bound because i noticed there were quite a lot of roots at the bottom of the container. i thought this container would of been big enough for a 1-2ft plant but i may be wrong? all help would be appreciated

Looks over watered. Dont be afraid of underwatering. Your plant roots need to be able to breathe and cant if there is always water in them. Let in dry out pretty well between each watering. this allows for more nute uptake when you feed beacause the plant will be taking in everything it can. feel the soil if it is still wet no need to feed. if it is pretty dry on top and feels light give them water. I only feed water/feed mine 2 times a week max and they look amazing. Let them dry out it will benefit them greatly

And you will need to transplant. that container is not big enough for a 2 footer

Okay thanks, I thought with my grow space being quite small that a wider container might of helped instead of a higher one but I guess I will have to go bigger and try and bend the plant to gain more height on it. I won't water it for a few days until I know it's dry, is there any way of knowing if it's underwatered other than checking the soil?

Yea that container is definitely too small, I started out with a 6X6 planter and within a month I had to transplant to a 1 gallon bucket. If space is an issue, you can get a 1 gallon paint bucket, like the one I got at Lowe's for like $1.50
