help first time grower need expert help

ok.. this is my first grow indoors and i'm trying not to spend too much money, i have a few questions.
1. what kind of soil do u recommend?

2. i read that u need to add all kinds of nutrients and furtilizers, do u or can u just use soil? and light of course

3.i have a nice closet space about 7ft. 5in. in height and about 3-4ft. wide and 4-5 ft. long what setup do u think i should do?

i'm probabbly going to start my process tonight i'm allready started germinating my seeds yesterday some of them are AZ seeds, others are bag seeds.
I don't really feel like f**kin with all them different fertilizers and chemicals. i want it to be all natural. i tried this outside but there were way to many bugs, it killed my plant within a week. soo im going to try it indoors hopefully it will work.
I really apprieciate anybodys opinion or expert advice thanx.
4. how long do u let them veg. for? i know its like 12/12 im talking about weeks, months?
5.how long do u let them flower for?i know its like 8/16 weeks, months?

i also have another question:
can u use miricle grow (the spray)?

If you're on a budget just get a basic soil mixture and a bag of perlite and vermiculite. Most soils will have the sphagnum peat moss. Experiment with ratios. Total of about $10-$15

Yeah you don't necessarily need and nutes or furts to have a successful grow. The most important factors are going to be adequate ventilation, good lighting and a strict and well thought out watering schedule.

It depends on how many plants you're going to be growing at once. I'd recommend a 400W HPS for that space. The amount you spend on all of the CFLs you could use plus the components to hook them up would probably equal the $150 you spend on the HPS.... Lighting is going to be your biggest expense but by far the most important... so $150 isn't that much really.

The amount of time spent on vegging and flowering is up to you and the plant strain. Vegging can be as long or as short as you want it to be. For good results I'd veg between 5-8 weeks, then switch to flowering and flower for about 6-8 weeks. The flowering depends on the strain.

Also read fdd2blk's thread titled "Its all bullshit" which is in the outdoor section. gotta hand it to him he is 100% correct. Growing is nowhere near as difficult as our mind makes it sometimes.

I am going to try bypassing the veg cycle all together and from seed go 12/12 with HPS. Ihave read alot of good threads on that and I have some time to kill before the middle of october.

yea im a first time grower and alls i did was put the seed in the dirt next to my house, its been a couple of weeks now and it seems to be going allright, i thought that if i just let it go the way nature intended its still gonna work rite? should i be doin anything other than watering it?

I decided to do this 2 weeks ago,as i have 2 biggish females already and now i just want to go from seed to weed asap as i only need to supply my own smoke i rekon this should give me plenty,and the seedlings have shot up super with this 12/12 cycle and seem to be fine with it.
I will post the pics of my grow room up later on today in my triploid crossing thread.
