we have a female who started flowering a week or so ago. she is about 4'6 and almost all of the pistils have already turned brown/copper/purple? and no bud has developed, the temperature and weather here have been insane so that might have to do with it, is there any hope? i'd hate to have such a big and healthy looking plant go to waste

IMO, You saw the pre-flowers. Your days probably aren't short enough to get full flowering yet. Be patient.

I have seen plants do this and have no effect on the yield. Don't worry, she's a beauty!!! Good luck my friend

This is typical with outdoor grown plants. Every day has a different concentration of light due to the time of year and weather conditions. This is easily avoided when plants are grown in-doors since lighting scheduals can be controled. (18/6 - 12/12) My advice is to just relax and let them take their course. Your leaves are a good green and your trunks are green so your doing everything right.

I think your plant is fine. being outside it will flower when the days get shorter and the nights longer so if your weather has been all over the place it will take some time/you can always bring it inside and flower it under lights for 12/12

Just a thought but, could you build some kind of frame work around the plant that you could drape an opaque light proof cover over. You could take it off at 6 AM and put it back on at 6PM thus insuring the plant got 12 hours of solid uninterrupted darkness each night. I'll bet you could easily (and cheaply) build the frame work out of some 1" pvc pipe and fittings.

Nice looking plant, hope all turns out well no matter what you do.
