Help! Grow room build questions..

Hi all, and thanks in advance for your help!

Have been reading lots but still need help with regards too finishing my grow room!

So to begin I have a small 2x4 tent in which I have a few plants that I intend too use as mothers and take cuttings too put into a 4 site RDWC system I built and sort off made my room too suit with the res outside the growspace and the tent on a dolly sitting above it so as to maximize space but now I'm really not sure about the DWC route as it seems too be quite problematic for some..

Currently the plants I have are in rockwool and I am enjoying the ease of use and small rootspace. Ihave just taken 4 cuttings of each and put them in a cloner I made so 16 clones. Which doeent really tie in with my original plan of DWC. I think I'm leaning toward a simpler flood and drain or if anyone has any suggestions I'd like to hear.

As for the real topic of this thread it's too ask for some advice in regards too my actual room. I was thinking of running 2x DE hps 750-1000w lights over 5.5x9 or so ft but as it's coming into summer here and power is quite expensive I'm thinking the better option is to go the led route. Either 2x HLG550v2s or 2 of the 600w diy kits?
For ventilation I have currently one 8inch silenced hyperfan which I intend to vent out the window of the room with a controller and another fan drawing air in from the false wall I've built (pics) and then in the winter will extract through the hole that was already in the roof for the ducted heating and duct it into a living space. Should I get a 6inch intake fan or 8 inch same as exhaust?

Anyway I'll attach pictures and looking forward too hearing some ideas and I'm sure I will have more questions in the very near future. Thanks, TheNUGGET

Busy alright man! The yellow hose is so that I can empty out the water easier. Gets 95% or so with a little pump hooked up.

Think I fucked up planting 5 plants outside earlier than last year and ended up with some big girls so should be a jungle this summer! Goodluck with your winter endeavors

A flood and drain setup is a very good way to go. It's very much more fool proof compared to DWC.

Two ways to deal with an intake. One is a passive intake where the exhaust pulls in the fresh air through a passive intake vent/s. Passive vent area should be 2 - 2.5x the exhaust area to avoid a restriction. The other way is an active intake where both fans should be of the same size in a push pull configuration.

Depending on the ambient temps that your intake is pulling from you may or may not want to have the fans on a thermostat controller like an environmental controller or a simple inkbird. If ambient humidity is too high then venting will pull in humidity so consider that as running a dehumidifier while venting is pointless.
