HELP!!! Hairs burning?

With regards to temperature/heat issue, I think too many folk just hear the word CFL's and think they don't give off much heat, like their tubular counter-parts, so it shouldn't be an issue. Well they can put out a lot of heat, I once burned a plant with CFL's that I was using for side-lighting, so don't let some of the comments get you down...If you can find the thread "professional opinion?" you'll see some of the crap I went through today, just trying to help someone.

I have a box fan blowing on low across the plant, and angled a lil upward to get a flow across the lights and up towards the exhaust fan
Is there any way you can get the fan(s) blowing directly onto the CFL's? I do something similar with my HPS set-up, and it works a treat removing the heat from just above the canopy. One more thing I think someone else touched on, try not to have the fan(s) blowing too fiercely directly on to/into the plants, a gentle, oscillating fan set on low is usually more than enough air flow to keep a few plants happy.

I wish i could add some pics on here, i don't know how, or it wont let me. Maybe I will suspend the fan so it blows above my girl and catches mostly just the lights. The good news is that my buds now look like buds, covered in pretty white hairs. not that the rasberry wasn't nice, but a lil early for that

Glad to hear they picked up. Yeah, try & get that fan directed more at the lights & see how you get on.

Don't worry, if you position it correctly, there'll still be air-movement around your plants, you'll just be cooling the lights more so you can get them down as close as you can to the plants without the heat issues.
