i am growing some plants they are about 4 weeks old and about 5 inches tall i had them growing in my shed(bad idea) and i guess it got to hot they got small and look like they are goin to die WHAT can i do.......... what temperature are plants sopose to grow in please tell me .. this is my first time growing in doors...... oh and hoe fart away do i keep the plants from the light i have a 400 watt MH light

First you need a HPS for veg, you keep the light on 24/7. 5 inches in 4 weeks? Its time to start over :) You should be closer to the 1 foot. I dono tho, ask the pros

I believe the recommended temp is between 72-78. Whats your setup like?

my set up aint shit i wasent prepard for this at all i just got me a light . i been tryn to read up on this as much as i can but some stuff isnt available . like how far away do i keep the lights . i cant seem to find that out as soon as i figure out how to post pics i wll

how far to keep your lights is all dependent on your growing conditions so best bet is to put it about 12-15 inches away and keep an eye on it if it starts to burn move it up just slightly until you have the optimum height

as a rule of thumb put your hand between your light & the plants if its too hot for your hand then its too hot for your plants. move lights up till it feels right

30" away from HIDs for small/immature plants. 18" - 24" when they get a little older and tougher.

The hand test is pretty good, if you're not sure where to position the light.

Slow growth could indicate a problem with the roots too. How do you have them potted?
