Help!! - How to get rid of this problem???

Hello all,
This is my first closet soil grow. I have two unknown seedlings, one is indica dominant(flowering) and the other is sativa dominant(refusing to flower after 8 weeks of 12/12, just keeps growing). I'm using an 8" pot for both plants (I initially thought one would turn male so I planted them together) and two 105watt 2700K fluorescent bulbs that put out 7150 lumens each. Yesterday, I added a new 150watt hps to see if it helps. I started germinating around the beginning of May and switched to 12/12 at the beginning of June (about 56 days ago). I've had some over-nute problems with miracle grow and my two girls went about a week without water while I was on vacation about 2 1/2 weeks ago. This is when I think the problem started because I used I giant aluminum pan to act as a water reservoir, hoping the water supply would last the duration of my trip. Well it didn't last, the soil was bone dry when I returned. A couple of days later I started to notice these little black dots starting to appear around the base of the two plants and now is completely covering the flowering indica and only covering about 3/4 of the sativa. I did some research and I believe it is black spot mold. I bought some Garden safe 3 in 1 fungicide and have treated it once about 4 days ago but I haven't noticed a difference. Is this going to ruin my bud or will it go away?? Also, any ideas as to why the sativa hasn't flowered yet? There are no light leaks I can find. Thanks!!

sounds like its not a mj plant lol
I know lol. The sativa had the beginnings of flowering 2 weeks ago - all of the nodes had two white hairs coming out from each side, then a few days later they started turning orange and now they're gone (I figure the water starvation caused them to wilt). Up top they're starting to come back one at a time but this is getting ridiculous. The indica is gonna finish before the other even starts. lol Anyways, any idea on how to get rid of black fungus/mold spot problem besides to keep treating it with the stuff I've got?

Alright I just did it. Lights went out two hours ago. Would you add baking soda to it next time or is that bad for the plant? Also, is the milk and water method a daily thing or just once a week? Thanks for your help

On another note. your plants are showing some N overdose. Classic symptoms, Shiny dark dark green leaves look a little stretched and they got the nitro claw. I would cut back the nutes and flush once IMO. Could be why the sativa isnt maturing.

I had a feeling that nitrogen could be the cause. I stopped giving miracle grow acid loving plant food nutes about 3 weeks ago. That was the only thing I gave the plants besides indoor plant food spikes. The problem is that I put about 5 miracle grow indoor plant food spikes deep in the soil. It said on the directions they would last for 60 days and its been about 40-50 days since I put the last two in, so I guess I need to dig them out or should I just play the waiting game and keep cutting the top off this girl? At least if she survives I'm gonna get a lot more off her than the other. This sucks, but I guess the only way to learn is the hard way. I got some calmag today and gave them the recommended dose a few minutes ago, hopefully that will even things out a little. I also bought some Earth Juice Grow, Earth Juice Bloom, and HTG Supply Overdrive. Is there anything that will effectively counter act the nitrogen in the food spikes??

BTW Next grow, I'm completely changing what I've done on this one.:wall:

No more miracle grow or soil!!!! ;-)

The hairs are starting to come back on the sativa and it's growing faster, which hopefully tells me its about to start flowering, but that might not be good news. I have to keep topping it since it's already at the maximum height for my short grow area. She's already 3 feet tall and already stretched once with the indica shortly after the indica started to flower.

Anybody think this girl is gonna stretch again???.............Cause if she does I'm gonna be extremely sad cutting off all those soon to be colas.

I know lol, but it's definitely flowering now. White hairs are starting to come in all over the top of this bad girl. Looks like the beginning of about 10 colas because I topped it so many times. I found out yesterday that I killed about half of the lower leaves due to not watering for two days, but it doesn't look too bad. Just all of the fan leaves are gone now. I really need to get a bigger flower pot. lol I just never thought it would get this big and need this much water. Here's a pic of the sativa. I harvested the indica and it's currently drying. Won't get very much at all from it, but for a first grow in a 100 degree closet on an average summer day, not too shabby. I'll update again in a week or two. I'll be getting a 600w hps soon and a bigger grow space so this should turn out really really good with the sativa dominant girl. And yea she is starting to stretch again so here we go.

Peace :peace: guys and gals bongsmilie

Yea, the temperature is horrible in that closet (it's actually part of the attic) and it's soooo humid where I live, that's how the black mold started. Black mold thrives in hot and humid conditions. But that's pretty much all gone now with treatment. At least my indica grow proves that a mj can live in a 100+ degree climate with a fan blowing on it 24/7. I'm gonna put the sativa in a big flower pot soon and it'll be able to grow as wide and tall as it wants in the new grow room at a temp around 75-80 degrees with a 600w hps. I'm excited!!!
