HELP!!! I have a Sentinel Co2 Sequencer but I don't know...

where to set the flow rate to on the regulator??? It doesn't say in the instructions. My guess is wide open???

Thanks for your input.

what sentinel do you have? cppm ?

From my experiance, placing the co2 sniffer below the co2 tubing has worked the best for me, co2 is heavier than air so you want your co2 to "fall" onto your plants in a sense. I have the co2 tubing just above the the plants and the sniffer right under the canopy with the regulator flow setting at 6-7. Seems if I allow it to blast out of there too fast it just wastes the co2 and my monitor will shoot up over 2000ppm even after it has kick off the co2 at 1500ppm, and I want to keep my co2 within a 200ppm range (1400-1600) as anymore than a 200ppm fluctuation and you are not getting the full benefits of co2 supplimentation.

Thanks for the reply spandy.

I've got the chhc-4. (It's the new chh1-1)

So 6-7 is your recommendation?

You think the tubing above the plants is better than attaching the co2 tubing to the back of an oscilating fan for even circulation?

Again, thanks!

I would think that fan trick would work just fine. CO2 is heavier, but its not like you are spraying lead around the room, lol.

I use 6-7 because I found for my size room that is all that is neccessary, you could use less or even more....btw how big is your room? I'm sure there are guys/gals here that have that bitch wide open because of the size of room they are rocking. Also remember, you spray too much co2 too fast, and you'll freeze your regulator. If you see the outside of the regulator icing up, you need an inline co2 heater or you'll bust that regulator and all your co2 will spray out in a wasteful fashion.

oh wow. i didn't consider the freezing thing. thanks for the tip. my room is humble sized... about 80 sq ft but it's so dialed in. I did a professional job.

So you think 6-7 is appropriate for my size room?

Thanks for the help.

Your room is just slightly larger than mine (65 sqft) so it should work just fine. :)

Play with it for a few days and see what keeps your rooms co2 at the proper levels (within 200 ppm or as close to it as you can get) with as little on time as possible. If it stays within 200pm or close to, your valve setting is just fine regardless where it is at in all reality. Just I see alot of med growers turn it too high, and their ppm flys over 2000ppm or more before the room stabilizes.

Remember though when you are adjusting your levels that you breathing in the room will throw it off, so you kinda have to "peak in" and jump out if you really want it to be accurate. I wish my ppm meter had a 24hr high and low as that would solve the problem to say the least.
