Hello I'm growing in coco they have been watered plain water for the first 10 days of there life and at 14 days old they stopped growing and looked ill ( dead leaf and pale yellow other ones) so I added coco a and b for a week with still no improvement I have now started just watering with rhysotonic to see if I can recover the work and time I have put into them plus I really need them to bounce back there are three strains there.

I don't grow coco but it's my understanding that you have to supply all nutes, the medium has none so my guess would be starvation... It's not uncommon to see slow growth at that stage when the roots are developing, I think that may have been the feed week when it looked like nothing was happening? Maybe they were blasting every drop of food into the rootzone?

i am more worried about the look of them and the colour of the leafs than how slow they are growing?

Yea I guess I'm just thinking that's how my clones look if they don't root, they eat themselves... You gave them a small taste of food and maybe they put it all into underground root growth to try to find more, so you aren't seeing actual growth.

I always hear coco guys say they use 5.8ph, so I doubt that's an issue unless your tester is wrong. I have saved plants that looked worse with time and care, but just like with us people, stress on plants can have long term consequences. I would give them 1/4 strength feed, cal-mag, and silicate if you have it but again I have no exp with your nute line so seek confirmation at least.

i dunno if i should wait to see if they recover with the rhysotonic then try say adding cal-mag and silicate im even unsure what they are and where to source them cheap?

Are you using chlorinated tap water without letting it degas? Did you have your tap water tested before deciding to use it for aeroponics? If you don't have the tools for aero you might want to consider growing in dirt until you get it together as dirt is more forgiving in my opinion.

was the coco clean ?

Some coco has pests in it, seedlings normally can go 2 weeks in coco with tap water, more perlite they can go a bit longer but it is wise to feed them by day 10 or 20

im unsure about my tap water but i allow it to stand for a day or two before watering. i use coco as i growing medium instead of soil as its the only way i was taught

Well I think rhizotonic is just for stimulating healthy roots, but doesn't contain much actual food. I use pretty cheap stuff from Dynagro like this for silicate

I don't add Cal, but for Mag I add 1 teaspoon of Epsom Salt to a gallon of water, that can be had for $1 almost anywhere ;)
thanks ill try mag on one of them see if it helps on the next feed which is going to be caanna a and b 4 ml of each in 5l water plus 14ml of rhysotonic in there to them ph altered to 5.9 area

its pure coco but im going to do a perlite mix on the repot if this will help me also i have something in my head telling me that a little perlite layer on the bottom of the pot just below the coco mix helps drainage aswell?

I add a layer of perelite on the bottom for both coco and soil. But if you are going to transplant I recommend that you put them in starting soil mixed 50/50 with perelite.

You will have some perelite come out of planters with large holes.. Not a lot though just the odd chunk.
