Hello, New here so hope he gives you the right info and he included pics also, My friend has a 3 week old baby and 10 brand new 2 days old babies:

Lights: 400 watt MH (Switchable for later) distance from light about 18" from top of the plant (shown in picture #4). 18/6 complete dark

Soil: Miracle Gro potting mix (probably a bad move) never flushed it, He got a PH tester and it reads at 7 or under 7

Water: No nutes because the soil has too much already, only distilled water and rainwater, when it was in a smaller container he waterd every other day ( no nutes). Now since it has been transplated recently (about 4 days ago), to hopefully the last container, that will be cut down ALOT.

Temp: 74-82 max, usally around 79- Humidty 40-50, air circulation with a box fan

Okay so questions he has... The 3 week old he doesn't know the strain but it is high grade, all the leaves are culing up on them from the new ones to the old ones, (pictures of that #1 & #2) there is only one set of 3 finger leaves that didn't curl up and those have slight yellow spots on them (it's hard to tell with the pic #6 from a camera phone), no where else on the plant is there yellow, so he figures that the curling is from nute burn form the soil, but concerned if it might be the light getting to close...?

When should he move the light up? should he wait till the leaves start to show Heat burn then move um? He did the hand over the plant test and it seemed fine for at least the next 8" just worried if the curling is from the light...

Does the container in Picture #3 #7 #8 seem big enough to support the rest of the life? The size says 8" seems like a gallon container but not sure, Don't need the plants to be huge will harvest as soon as there ready.

Picture #4 shows the growroom and the walls are all white but there is alot of open space around the table the pots are sitting on, is this okay or is he not getting as much light as possible? Also the box fan is outside the closet on the floor pointed up at a angle, blowing cold air from the bedroom (his house temp stays at 73) into the grow room, should the box fan be in the growroom blowing air out? Air circulation temp and humidity seem perfect now...

Now there are 10 new members to his growroom all 2 days old, is this one light going to support all these babies there whole lives? Picture 3 and 4 show the set up, the light should cover a 4x4 area, and with all those containers it is way less then a 3x3 area so it seems fine and when they get older he will get rid of the males and make more room, but 11 total plants just the size of the 3 week old is alot of green. Kinda worried...

Out of the 10 new babies 2 or 3 of them seem small or have the casing on them still and seem really underdevolped under the casing or just in comparison to the other ones ( these were also the last ones to get germinated), and they where all germinated at the same time. One of them doesn't even have the 2 leaves you see once to 2 oval pedals open up... Worth even keeping them cause I getting a not so good vide from them.

The 3 week old has got a 3 week headstart on the other 10 babies, so its going to have to wait till all the other ones are ready to bloom (12/12) to also bloom itself, will this be a problem?

He doesn't know much about the life cycle of the plant, whats going on in picture #6 where the node and the stem meet there are new leaves growing, is this where braches are going to grow or the buds or just leaves?

How does the 3 week old look to be doing? It is at node #5 not counting the oval pedals, and its second set of 5 finger leaves, looks really healthy just those darn curling leaves are driving him crazy, also 4 out of the 10 new babies are Kush ( thank goodness they all look really good) anything he should know special about Kush?

Sorry this is ssoo long feels like I'm writing a book, We love this site and it really has helped him, feel free to give us all the advice you can just please don't redirect me to some grow guide i must have read 30 of them all ready..

From what I can see, the plants look fine. Of course, the pictures are kind of blurry, but I don't see any problems there.

I THINK YOUR PLANTS LOOK FINE, BUT YOU SAY YOUR LEAVES ARE CURLING DOWN? IF THEY ARE YOUR FRIEND SHOULD WAIT AND EXTRA DAY OR TWO BEFORE WATERING AGAIN. PLANTS LIKE THAT BECAUSE THEY GROW MORE AND LONGER ROOTS IN SEARCH OF WATER. THE GENERAL RULE FOR POT SIZE IS A GALLON OF SOIL PER MONTH OF GROWTH, SO A THREE GALLON GROW BAG WOULD BE GOOD TO GROW A SEEDLING FOR A MONTH AND FLOWER IT FOR TWO MONTHS, WITHOUT HAVING TO TRANSPLANT. THE BENEFIT OF NOT TRANSPLANTING IS THERE'S NO RISK OF TRANSPLANT SHOCK. I WOULD TRANSPLANT THOSE IN A COUPLE WEEKS OF GROWTH AND NO MORE, YOU DON'T WANT TO STUNT THOSE PLANTS NOW.:finger: HOPE THIS INFO HELPS YOU. OH YEAH AND DON'T FORGET TO FLUSH ONCE A MONTH TO PREVENT NUTRIENT LOCKUP.:weed: YOU CAN REALLY GET AN IDEA OF WHEN TO WATER BY PICKING UP THE POT AND FEELING THE WEIGHT OF IT, FEEL IT AFTER YOU WATER. WHEN IT FEELS REALLY LIGHT THAT'S WHEN YOU SHOULD WATER, BUT DON'T WAIT TOO LATE.

Eventually that 3 week old plant is goin to take off in height. U will need to do some work to keep the canopy level. Either u can put the smaller plants on a pedestal or U can also tie the big plant down if it gets too tall. U may also have to prune the shit out of the bigger one so it doesn't take up the whole grow space. Although it will take some work, and it may be a pain in the ass at times, it can be done.

Hey thanks for the advice... the leaves are curling up when the seem to be newer... they tend to uncurl when they get full grown but everyone still has some curl (up) that never seems to go away.... I keep telling myself these pots will be big enough but i can't belive myself, my perfect idea will to keep the seedlings ( 10 seedlings ) in these containers till they sex ( then transplant the girls) figure i will have to get rid of around 0f 5 of them due to them being males, at that point i would like to transplant to bigger containers, but untill then i will keep them in these containers... I have 1 bigger plant that is 25 days old (the one in the pictures) and it's kinda hard to imagine 10 more of these growing in a space about 3x3 size, I keep reading about prunning or training but kinda confusing to me, what i would like to do is just cut the bigger fans leaves to create more space for lights and lower nodes but i don't think thas wise either...

thanks for looking, a 600$ phone figure it should have a good camera, but of course not, lol... everyone says it and there are a million answers but the leaves are curling up, happens alot on the newer leaves, but then tends to un roll when the get full size, but every set that i have remains with some kind curl, don't really think its the light because it seems to love the light and from 3 inches tall to a foot tall it has been curling up, i think its the dirt the miracle gro nute burn, not sure anyways thanks for listening

yeah curling up, starts with all the newer leaves, they form with the curls on them (up) then tend to uncurl when the expand and reach full size, but they always tend to be some kind of curls up on evey set, i kinda think its not the light because it has happens since the plants first set of leaves until now and it has grown about a foot closer to the light so it has always happened, i kinda think its the dirt the Mircale gro i guess tends to give them nute burn so i'm thinking its thats,... I got 10 others seedlings about 5 days old and i can see it happening to them too, there no where near the danger zone of light distance, but they are in the same dirt, next time i will diffenitly make my own soil

Ok thanks for the advice, pruning is what i belive i need to do, now what i belive that is , is cutting some of the bigger fan leaves off, I think that would be a great idea, so i've done research on it and between pruning, topping, training, piching it all seems confusing, i would like to cutthe bigger leaves going out to create more grow room for my other 10 seedling, i don't mind growing up but i would like to cut down on the growing out (wide)

Carefull to not over do it on pruning, but u can prune your side branches if u want. Try taking off the trim on the bottom 1/3 of each plant.n That will make them skinny up quite a bit. Start there and see how u like it.
Also...
I understand why u would wait until flowering to transplant, but if u can u want to transplant before flowering. Any stress in Flowering causes u to lose bud! but u know ur circumstances better than anyone so u do what u need to do...
