Help!! Injured leaf while topping off!!!

So I was just topping off all of my plants. On one of the plants i accidentally cut a little too much at an angle. When i did, i snipped a little bit into the petiole. I panicked! I didnt know what to do so i just clipped the entire leaf off where the petiole meets the stalk.. i didnt want that leaf to die and possible rot. Do you think i did the right thing?? Will she recover?

I've clipped, folded, mangled and torn leaves. Their capacity to continue thriving has astounded me. imo you overreacted. cn
