How many plants you looking to do? You need red spectrum IMO
Im only doing one BLUE MYSTIC from nirvana. The only reason im asking is cause of all the people who use MH to flowe.r They say it gives they closer noods so I was hoping staying with the brightest day CFL bulds i could get would be similar to it. In a way. What if i added a red spectrum later in to flowering with the other bulbs?

IMO you want 5 of them bulbs you have not just 2. Then change some to red spec asap. Sooner better. Have 3 6400k and 2 2700k

Anyone eles with there input?? Help if you got some input!!!
Hey Phase,
I agree with djll, you should have red spectrum. If you are growing with CFLs you usually want a 2:1 ratio depending on which phase of the grow. So in your case, since you're flowering I would say you should have two 2700K bulbs and keep one of your daylight (6500k) bulbs in there. You can also get Y-adapters at Wal-Mart so you can run two bulbs off one socket if you were looking to increase the ammount of bulbs. Hope this helps! +rep and I subbed to your grow! Good Luck!:bigjoint:

doesnt matter... u can veg with either spectrum.

The blue spectrum is mainly for veg tho, and red is for flowering; But to use both specs. is considered the best.

so, if you use both specs, then most consider that the optimal spectrum. Providing a wide range of light. Sure, you could bypass the entire situation, simply by buying a NICE bulb, that emits mainly orange/red spec, but also the blue spec as well; in addition, to both spectrums, the bulb(should be), an elite hps, is ideal.

anymore questions, try checkin the forums/FAQ's
