Anyone else have troubles coming up with ideas if how to mount a case Fan to a heatsink? I want to do it the cleanest way possible. Anybody have any ingenious ideas!?
Specifically 5.88 Heatsinkusa with 140mm fanIt would be easier if you had a picture of the heatsink. But I've mounted fans on heatsinks with a hot glue gun , zipties and the good old fashion screws.
Bonjour
Do you believe that with (you know the plastic thing that cops use instead handcuff) we call it serflex,it is better. Because of the vibration.I'm scare that the screw would move untight.

Screws are used with computer fans for decades. I wouldn't worry.Bonjour

does aluminum sheet bend nicely or do I have to heat\anneal it ?Here is a solution I came up with to mount fans, driver and hide all the electrical while providing a very clean look to the build.View attachment 3468209
You can get a piece of aluminum or sheet metal from HD or lowes. And harbor freight has an 18" metal brake ( aka bender) for around $20. mine was an open box item for $15.
@PurpleBuz it bends great. 0.040 thickness is really easy to work with. 0.062 is the upper limit for the little harbor freight metal brake, to get a nice clean bend.
