Guys,
I have made a video with commentary - excuse my Australian accent.
I think its time i try and make my plant all bushy. its currently almost 30 cm tall and has developed a nice root system. Now i beleieve i need to TIP or FIM.
Ive done some research but im still unclear of where i should tip and fim. Also i dont know what leaves to remove...

God, its one intimidation after another.

Great video. Your at the perfect time to fim. Simply take your lead growth pull the young fan leafs apart find the shoot and cut 80-90 percent of it. Leaving just a stub of that shoot left.

Thx for the comment. I put a bit of effort into it, I just watched the video on topping and Fimming, But i still cannot understand the difference,

In the youtube video, the guy first displays "fimming method", i can see 2 stubs, i assume these turn into branches and provide 4 branches at the node, instead of 2.

Secondly he displays the method of "tipping", but i cannot visualise what this will do?

Should i be tipping or fimming?

Also, do i tip or fim the lower branches... What is my goal, what am i trying to achieve in the growth pattern by fimming vs tipping. i cannot see the overall difference in growth between these 2 methods,

Sorry for getting technical, but as your all learning, i like to understand why things happen, and the effect it provides,

"give a man a fish, he eats for a day, teach a man to fish, he will eat for a lifetime", im trying to understand. Ive read other threads but they only really tell me what to do.

Ive now learned how to do it. But if i could understand what the 2 differnt methods achieve, id be able to better choose which method i think will work for me,

Please watch my video, its only 2 minutes long, and straight to the point, also lets you see my grow setup.

Thankyou in advance for teaching me to fish.

"thing" = the part you cut when you fim or tip.

Do i only top/fim the node at the VERY top, or do i fim/tip any node that looks like i can?

When i examine my plant (was given to me as a clone, guess its been tipped alot already, was 15cm tall when i got it), i can see new fan leaves growing everywhere. Its like every single Y section on the plant is growing a "thing" that looks like it could be fimmed.

more info please, that picture was a great start thankyou.

I oversea a large medical facility that has strict guidelines and yield quotas and we only FIM. Fiming is great it will not slow down or effect that plant as much as topping. The only time that I feel you may want to top is if your plants are too big and supercrop bending doesnt work.
