Help me, I'm a newbie! Growing 5 strains and running into some problems

Hi thanks for checking this out. This is my first grow. It's in my closet (need to still get mylar). I have the Hydrofarm light system with a CFL. I have 5 strains growing, 3 of which are autos. I have Auto Acid (1st 2 pics), Amphetamine Auto (next 2 pics), White Domina (next 2 pics), Power Skunk (next 2 pics), and Ultra Lemon Haze Automatic (last 2 pics). They are all under 24/7 lighting.

I planted them all on 4-26 in the coco. I put some nutes in (1/4 strength) a few days after (bad idea), but they have recovered and have not used any after. I am using General Hydroponics Flora Series. You can see the oldest leaves with the burn but the newer ones are looking good (at least I think so). However on some of these post-burn leaves, there is yellowing and tiny little brown spots on some. Most of the leaves are green. Is there a deficiency? I have been doing a lot of research but it's pretty tough to tell what's going on. I started nutes for real today since it's been over 2 weeks. Also, my watering schedule is daily/every other day. I basically water when they need it.

So my questions are-

1. Are they deficient in something and how do I go about fixing that? Just use nutes?

2. Do I treat each feeding as I would with a regular watering?

3. Should I feed them every day and discontinue using just water?

4. If so, would I use just water once a week to flush it so there's no build up of stuff?

I think that is all for now but I'd very much appreciate some insight with this and any other suggestions you may have. Thanks!

I just looked and the Auto Acid leaves' tips are turning purple. What do I do?! This can't be good

unfortunately no photos m8 ..... please upload again also do you have a ph meter?

Purple means phosphorus def... should be from new tips growing on highest part of the plant.
If the middle leaves are turning purp you gotta ph balance with P.
If anything is purp I would flush and put reg nutes from that point until it heals then easy on the nutes if ur going cheap.

lotta variables to marijuana... overwatering underwatering... nute locks, heat stroke...uhhhh lots and lots of stuff... purp is def P def.

All of the leaves on the auto acid plant have purple tips. I did less than what the directions said. What should I do? And thanks, Marlboro47

hi .... are you ph testing your water ? did you add the micro to your water first? im not sure about the purple one but the others look like a ph problem?

I don't have a ph meter. I am unsure of which one to get. What are some good recommendations?

Uhhhhh i remember getting those probs i just mainly remembering acing the seedling stage.


Might be humidity, overwatering prob, ph problems, nute lock... pests.... coco coir has a bunch of fruit fly larva and eggs... I would uhhh def more wind if their a prob. oh yes you should also add a little bit of nitrogen because yellow leaves from bot to top = N def. from ur third pic... Also

Coco coir has reported absorbing too much cal mag from the plants nutrient stock piles but I think that might be the pests or something anyways make sure to pick up some cal mag... I used the botanicare cal mag but if u do research u could prob get somethiing from humbolt....

uhhhhhhhhhhhh also remember find a nutrient def chart ill try to find one and ill post it.

yeah you def need micro nutes, pick up some cal -mag that has zinc/iron and a bunch of other micro nutes...

purp is phosphorus def tho... def... make sure to ph balance and dont over water and dont give more nutrients then it needs... also try Reverse Omosis water when its baby so it doesnt get flouride poisoning...

If it says give it 3tps per gal id put like half of a tsp so it craves the nutes and doesnt over look it.

ehhhh hard to explain facing a computer... im more social then computer social....


But id suggest feeding it an ammount that is safe to feed it with every time you water it... Know that if you dont mix it right the bottom of your bucket will have more nutes on the bot then the top... soooo uhhh mix it rigoodht bra.

also do ur own research because one of my mistakes could cost you your entire crop...

and uhm when ur plants get stronger treat them like a bitch and show them a drought, make sure they learn to appreciate your love and nurtering just don't kill them and make sure you only treat the plants like you would a female dog that doesnt listen but you still love...also dont poison it like the physchopathic child molesting and or child abusers... there are some crazy ass niggas out there... real talk.

no PHmeter no problem.... Buy water bottles instead of using the hose...

Or uhhh take a guess.... or buy PH balanced nutes... or uhmmmm leave buckets of water outside in the sun 2-3days before you use them to clorine evape before u dump nutes in... uhhhhmmmm alsooooooooo remember leaving buckets of water outside lets oxygen out so mix them so oxygen gets inside like when u mix a bottle of water (shake*).

or buy a 30$ PH meter from ur local hydro store... local as in the best and closest one, u never wanna support some evil gympers ahahahha.

wouldnt spend more then 50$ on a PH meter unless ur a perm grower...

Also wouldnt spend less then 30$ unless ur delicate and value all the worldy items like a God would...

But me,,,, ehhh I dont like the world too much for putting all the toxins in my life.. and knowing trees their probably just laughing at me... show dem plants no mercy and dont water em for like 4 days ajhajajajjajaja

droughts when they are bigger of course... like 4weeks old min... Any younger and it would be merudean to your soul to watch that.... lol... also make sure to perfect the watering shcedule and when u start flowering no fuck ups. one fuck up could mean the diff between talking med quality.... low grade meds and high grade meds...

for my 2 cents I think its a ph problem you need to keep the ph between 5.5/6.5 if to high or low your plants wont take any nutes you need a ph tester (either a digital meter or liquid drop test ) ASAP.................https://www.letitgrowhydro.co.uk/products-page/ph-ec-control/essentials-ph-meter/

with coco you can feed every watering just make shure theres like 10run off. and you def need cal mag in coco unless your tapwater has alot of it already.
