help me pick a blower*pics*

i have the chance to buy this blower but i dont know if its what i need. my room is hot so i need something to bring in cool air from outside, will this work?? i am planning on having this suck in cold air to blow into my closet, i dont know if it will work with a exchaust duct or if it is too powerful or if it warms the air, please help

well first of all you only need a fan big enough to cool your room so your question should be how big of a fan does my room need, the bigger the flange the bigger the fan. you can just buy duct reducers that hook up to duckting just install a intake vent some where on your house and have the duckting take it to your closet. probly like a 4 inch duct running trhough your wall hooked 2 a vent in a nice clean outside area of the house. fresh air will improve grow quallity. buy using a duct reducers you can use any fan with any sizes of ducting

and btw blower fans are very loud they work good but what you might be looking for is a booster fan. there not too expensive. good luck

i have not, i will tommorow, its only $30, i know thats a great deal, i might have to get it cause of that fact, it might be too much of a fan, but i assume ity will work

if you want a quiet fan go with fantech, pretty much the more cfm the louder it is, most of the fan noise is not from the motor its from the moving air and the blades cutting the air, im not to familiar with that fan but it looks like an industrial fan that moves a shit load of air, i would recommend a 6 inch inline fan with 250 plus cfm and that will be more than good enough for what you want to do

How big is this closet? That is a huge factor to consider when buying a fan. The size of the closet determines the CFMs required of your fan. The lower the CFM count generally the quieter and more stealth your fan will be. Since it seems to be a closet grow I would assume you are hoping to be somewhat stealthy as are most closet growers.

i dont really care about stealth, i live alone, just need a fan for heat, this one is cheap
