Help!? MITES!?

Hello, I've recently obtained 5gallon pots from a friend of mine whom said there were mites in there once upon a time, and he has kept them in his shed for 4 months before giving them to me. I want to transplant my ladies in these pots, but I wanna know before I do, How should I clean the pots, and is it worth it? Or should I buy new ones?

Please any suggestion is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Get some Mighty Wash, don't even try pyrethines, neem, or azatrol\max, they are just a waste of time. Just three treatments 5 days apart will rid them completely.

Just spray your pots with water thoroughly to wash away the mites that may be dormant on them.

if u have brought the infested pots in the same area where the plants are then u propably gonna have mites sooner or later thus u should be using neem repelent as precution on ur plants and use household pesticide in the rest of the area, wash the pots with ordinary soap and hot water and clean them with alcohol , dish soap is not ordinary soap

hot water. steamy hot water kills all.
if in doubt, use bleach + water, then rinse, then windex + water, then rinse, rinse rinse, then hot water, then rinse, and good to go. < kills everything, even on a microbial level
