Using organic miracle grow mixed with perlite. Have been adding compost from coffee and tea leafs.. and i've been using a diluted tea to give the plants nitrogen. Flushed the plants the other day.. could that have released all of the compost on the roots causing a nute burn? the lights are an inch or two away from the plant. I have 3 100 watt equivelent cfl's and 1 150 watt equivalent cfl. The 3 100 watt bulbs are 5500 k spectrum.. and the other bulb is like 2700k spectrum. I water probably every 3 days or so.

I also mixed in some compost into the initial mixture of the pot it's in before i transplanted. could the roots be going through the nitrogen in the compost causing nute burns?

The plant is so small you dont have much roots to burn anything yet. Stop watering it till it needs to be watered. I would wait until it got a bit bigger before I started to add nutes. Back off the lights a few more inches until it gets bigger to.

i use a spray bottle to lightly spray water around the base of the plant to keep the bottom from drying. this helps to keep the soil from being saturated, which can cause "damp off", the leading cause of seedling failure. as the plant grows increase the radius of wetting the soil. GL
