Help--new 400w hps and ballast--how to turn on

just got a new 6" air cool reflector with a 400w hydrotek digital ballast which is dimable and can take MH bulbs, i have a 400w hps super luma bulb. Can i just plug it all in and flick it on?

yup yup i like to let em run for at least an hour or more the first time i fire a new bulb,kinda like a "break in period"

make sure to clean the finger prints off the bulb,drives me nuts lol

yhanks man, im gonna go fire it up, should i put the ballast on low or high, theres 50%, 70%, 100& and super bright////which one should i put the ballast on?

oh my god i fucking hate fingerprints on bulbs. i always wear gloves...but yeah my lumatek has the super lumen feature and it says "up to 10% more light at the turn of a dial"..i just leave mine on 600 though, if things were any hotter id have heat issues.

i would break the bulb in on 100% and personally never use the superlumens on my lumitec.
