help on lumins pls

i do not have a hps nor the cash for a ballast, wife made me go cheap as hell but i am close to 15000 lumins plus 3 cfl lights right next to plants i have 3 plants should i be ok if not what can i do besides having to buy hps or metal hallide

are you talking about halogen bulbs again? you are going to waste so much money using those............

Yes, much much much (repeat 250 times) better off with cfls.

Yeah, you're wasting tons of electricity with halos, they are not efficient. Just buy some cheap ass cfls if you are low on money. Look into getting some 68w CFL shop light from lows or home depot, they put out 4500 lumens each.

yes, but your better off going with more smaller bulbs so you can completely surround the plants with the cfls imo.

Agreed. Its not just about using a lot of lumens, its about using them wisely. Honestly, I don't see why you don't just save some money for an HPS, they are cheap if you buy them on like eBay. Grab some t5 floros in the mean time to start vegging and work your way up. You need to do some more research on lighting before you get started.
