Help on outdoor grow?!?

Okay, I'm new to growing, and wanted to run something through you guys?? I have some bagseed from some nice mids, and wanted to plant it by a cow pasture..... Theres two barbed wire fences blocking people from coming in, and a gate blocking the cows from getting to where I will be growing... Theres these tall wheat looking plants, I plan to cut out a section and grow in the middle of it all. Instead of pots, I'm gonna dig long, wide, and deep holes, and fill it with soil.... And I cant dry it inside because I live in a hotel, but theres a little abandoned shack right by where I'm growing. I plan to clean it up, put sheets over the windows, and pop a couple battery powered fans in there... Do you think this whole thing is going to work???? Please be completely honest.... Thank you, have a stoney day ;) :bigjoint:

Any place they have cattle they're going to be inspecting fence lines. If they notice some one "fixing up" a abandoned shack they will probably investigate. You sure the "wheat looking plants" aren't some kind of crop?

I would avoid using the shack to dry the herb, if you cut the whole plant from the base of the stem you can turn the plant upside down and hang it in a tree to dry for a week or 2. if you leave all of the leaves on the plant when it dries it will also cure the bud partially because the leaves fall over the buds to protect them from light. However, if you live in an area where it will get rain around your harvest time then you would need to make sure you get the weed inside to lower the humidity.

one year i dried under a deck to keep away from sunlight and rain. i also enclosed the side with tarps and let it breathe every now and then. everything turned out perfect. if you decide to use the shed, just keep an eye on everything while it's drying. good luck

Too much info bro.

Its not a crop, I see it in fields all the time where I live... I think it just grows here in florida, But other than the shack... Does everything else sound like it would work pretty good?

well put it this way if you do it and it gets stolen , better to try then not try at all , I would not plant directly into the soil, you cant control the amount of water it gets, dig a hole put the pot into the hole so its a bit higher then the ground sticking up and if you get a heavy rain put a tarp over the hole

You're better off getting a some seeds online so you know the genetics and when it finishes outdoor

^ I dnt think planting in an open field, next to a cow pasture, with a manmade structure nearby is at all a good idea. And a barb wird fence isnt gonna keep people out, Ive climbed over plenty exporing as a kid, and never have I came to one and said well, cant get over this one. Honestly If this spot is your best possible idea to grow in, I think you need to sit back for a few years, take notes, and explore other ideas

do it, just spread out the grow to more locations. I would not worry about drying worry about getting them to grow.

If its fenced in property DON'T DO IT...go find a gorilla grow spot...you're setting yourself up for failure
