help on selection...

Total noob here,

gonna do an indoor grow with one 150 watt HPS, with some CFLs thrown in...

I want something that is strong, good for beginners, great smooth smoke, powerful, and finishes early...

I was leaning toward Super Skunk...

I basically want to choose something from sensi seeds or dutch passion (that won't set me back so much $)

I bought power plant from dutch passion, but I think I wanna go with something more indica for my first grow

Pick anything. You cant go wrong. May I suggest Killing fields or the K.O Kush or the madonna or the jackberry or the herijuana or the... you get the picture.

Johnny with only a 150 W HPS and floros you aren't going to get much light penetration into the canopy - 2" with the floros and 6"-8"(?) with the 150 W (if that much). Move up to atleast a 400W if possible, if not this might help:

You'll need to keep your plants very short and/or root clones that you 12/12 at 6" or so to keep your plants <12" when finished. For your mother you could try topping 3 or 4 times for 8 or 16 shorter colas.

Any area of the plant that isn't penetrated by light will produce very little bud. Go with a proven breader, Attitude is a good seed bank for that - you don't want to get F2s that stretch more than the breeder advertises.

As for the strain Super Skunk looks good, like Tripolar said - if that's what catches your eye go for it. I'm doing Dutch Passion Blueberry now, it's a proven potent classic that everyone loves - you'll be the most popular pothead around. Indica dominant as you were thinking about.
