my babies, they have been flowering for about 43 days or so. they look great, except for one thing. the tops of each plant are much more mature then the rest. the tops will be ready for harvest soon, im not so sure about the bodies of the plants. is it possible to cut the tops off and harvest that, and let the rest of the plants go for another few weeks? :joint::joint::joint::joint::joint:please help!

i have never done that but i have heard of people doing it. id say go for it. make sure what you cut off is ripe though. there is a lot of plumping in the last couple weeks. what size light are you using and what strain

the pics arent working, but i think its indigo since they started out purple, but im no expert.. im using 6 25 wt cfl lights. i was confused on this especially because i didnt know whether or not to flush it and give it extra darkness still before using this technique.

yes, you can harvest in intervals. with smaller wattage lights and fluorescents, it's always better to scrog to avoid this problem.

Just did that with some outdoor kush plants, took the tops 1.5-2 weeks before the bottoms. My plants had been topped so there were multiple tops per plant. Worked out great, well worth it. The lower buds took a bit to start kicking again after trimming which sets it back hence the two weeks. but the bottoms did fatten up quite a bit more, well worth it for both ripeness and yield.

The top of your plant will mature faster than the bottom. If you want, you can harvest the top of the plant and then lower your light onto the bottom for a second harvest. This holds true for many species of plants, not just cannabis
