hello people im half way threw flowering and iv noticed little flys iv put that sticky fly strips around pots and hangin up its caught a fair few but there still a few flying around is there anything else I can do
Hey buddy make sure you don't overater the ladies cause these gnats love wet soil & you should also use a fan of some sort to blow them away. You'll be fine, good luck.
Spray some neem oil along the bottom of the pots, where the drain holes are. The gnats from what I understand are eating there. I line my pots at the bottom with straight perlite. Ever since I started doing that (and stopped with molasses a long time ago) I haven't had one.

The fliers aren't the damage it's the larval stage eating your roots in the substrate. 1 Tablespoon Spinosad/1 gallon water with 1 DROP of dish soap. Every three days (If you are soilless and everytime you water if you are not), until you don't see the adults. Start now before you lose them.
LOL I do not accept your presumption that Spinosad, as a root drench is poisonous. Please show me the human toxicology studies, or even mammalian studies without direct exposure to the agent.
Thanks!
While not a "poison" (it is a product of natural fermentation), it did have issues in higher concentrations (>.015%) in 13 and 18 week mice studies at the University of Oxford, Dow Chem, Ely Lilly and Charles River Labs.
It IS considered as having LOW mammalian toxicity.
It effects the genus Lepidopteran (among others), Moths, butterflies, etc most of all. The genus does contain "good" insects along with bad. Who really wants to kill butterflies anyway?
When used inside or out. It has a half life of 9-10 days.
It is listed as organic.
It does very well on Thrips and works "acceptably" on Fungus gnats.
I aint got a clue what your onabout im a beginner lol but I got a update I got a feed that kills larvas and sticky fly traps from the grow shop hopefully that will work
