ok although the current strain im working on isnt a subcool strain i will b working through 6 jilly bean females.........so subs help now will help me in the future
and of course any comments and complaints are allowed
the strain is snazzleberry2 from chimera
started with 10 seeds.......9 popped and ended up with 3 females and 6 males
saved pollen from the males and am doing some crossing (another thread later)
so i have 3 females i ran with dirt for 9 weeks (they were done at 8.)
out of the 3 females 1 is the biggest yielder by far.......great in every way.........but
female 2 has an amazing fruitty pebbles smell and even better flavor..........more flavor then female 1
female 3 isnt as good as either as 1 or 2 so 3 is culled (dont lose me lol)
so.........i need to pick a pheno
best flavor and smell but worse yielder (its about 1/2 the weight)
or an amazing plant and bud in every way........fucking dank as hell.....HUGE yielder....But.......doesnt smell or taste as good as female 2
thats the delimea

get some tga goin, then post about it :P !!! but i will respond.

its not even a question if you ask me: take the best weed!!!! + you should run them a few times to really decide (most peoples recommendation). this is very important to me, as i have found 'keepers' on second runs. I say 'keepers' because I get rid of them eventually if they arent the best thing I ever smoked.

making f2's.... you need to cross it. and test it. each could and will probably (in my limited experience) have different results, even if somewhat similar phenos are used. also, selecting a quality male is important.

those are my recommendations based on my search solely for the holy grail of cannabis. if you have different needs, i have different answers.

I donno if you read all the Sticky's. but those threads are super helpful and created by the master of dank. subcool himself.
Its a ton of reading, but its worth it to read.

I took a lot of my knowledge from his direct words, as he really knows what he is talking about and willing to share.

f.y.i been lurking at RIU for years, just too stoned and lazy and a noob grower to want to blog myself. but now that I think I kinda know what im doing, I like blogging and sharing what i learned through copius (hundreds of hours) amounts of research, and two years growing organics. Ive also read the entire Ed Rosenthal book cover to cover (honestly, to me, subcool has had more useful info and impact on my views about growing. most of Rosenthals book is common knowledge about cannabis found on anywebsite...the book is great though). just sharing cause i dont have many posts...
