help plant has no leaves

Hi, im a new grower my plant is 3 weeks old and still has no fan leaves. It is an outdoor grow and grow medium im using is compost. Recently after being planted one of the new leaves and a but of the stalk was eaten by something, it seems to be growing and still alive but I am unsure if this will affect development or just prolong it? ?

These kinda of situations you just have to wait and see. Now It can probally come back from this. There is no way to tell how good it can do now. It may be pushed back a bit due to repairing and making new nodes.

Now for you're soil is that straight compost? How did you obtain this compost IE: did you make you're own?

Thanks, that's good to know, yes it's straight compost from a store, and I have added small amount of slow release nutrients made of chicken manure

Well it may just do fine than, Other thing to think about Compost has rich in nutrients gotta be careful with it. My favorite thing to do ( if in buckets ) is to add like a 3 1/2 layer of manure at the bottom of the bucket, When it goes into bloom it should be reaching those nutrients.
Or you can do a Layer method and just add layers of different nutes. Again what you are doing is just fine! Just suggesting!

Okay thanks for advice, also will slow release nutrients pose a problem when flushing before harvest? And are there anyways to speed up growth again for example adding more nitrogen?

The Repair process is temperamental, let it be and see were it goes.
Each genetics wants a specific amount of nutes, Due to how it evolved and were it evolved. Best thing to do is keep a journal and have fun studying each strain and whatnot!
